In Newbury Acres, a young Amish woman is invited to vacation with her neighbors at the sleepy vacation town of Banthe near Lake Moreland for several weeks. Catherine loves to read Amish romance novels and daydreams of one day living such a romance. At Banthe, she makes new friends but quickly learns that some people are not what they seem and occasionally have hidden agendas. To make matters worse, she finds herself daydreaming about Henry Tillman while thwarting the romantic advances from John Troyer. Catherine's naiveté gets her into all sorts of trouble, especially when she continues her vacation with the Tilmans at their large farm in Newbury Acres.
Will the end of her vacation translate to the end of any possible romance with Henry Tilman? Or will she finally find that storybook ending that she so longed to live?
Newbury Acres is both a satirical parody of Amish romance novels and the story of a young Amish girl's maturation into womanhood.

Newbury Acres is an absolutely remarkable story of love from both sides of the tracks. The storyline is wonderful and really keeps the reader guessing what will happen next. Then there is the little mysteries throughout the entire story that has you wondering what was going on. The author has written an exciting story and has done a remarkable job placing her characters within it.The characters are very likeable and some are realistic but as in every story one just doesn't seem to fit. I loved the characters of Catherine, Ellie, Henry, and James. To me these are the characters I would love to have as friends. They were always watching out for others and we're grounded in their faith. The character of Gid Tilman just irritated me. He definitely did not display love for his family only what they could add to his wealth. These characters told a heartwarming story and I loved how it all played out showing me Henry was the ideal man that I thought he was.
I did not receive a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable review. I have created this book with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

This was another Amish romance novel by Sarah Price. It was wonderfully written and a very good and easy read.
This was a great story.... I encourage you to get this book. I love Sarah price writing . She does a wonderful job in her books. I had a hard time putting this book down..I finished in two days loved it keep it up Sarah ..looking forward to more.
This was a good retelling of Northanger Abbey. However, I couldn't connect with the characters. While I prefer her other Amish classic retellings, this was still a light entertaining read. I am still uncertain about continuing the Newbury Acres series. Still, I may reread this novel in the future since I am definitely planning on rereading the Amish Classic Retellings series! Mrs. Price is a talented author, and I look forward to reading her future novels!
Once again Sarah drew me in on page one and I had a hard time putting it down! Sarah describes things in great detail so I feel like I am right there. Sarah knows first hand how the Amish live and she makes sure we all learn the truth from her stories and not these unrealistic things others write about. So many great characters in the book and we learn as the book pages turn and the characters grow. We need to remember God is in our lives and will show us what his plan is when he is ready. The Amish keep the faith and we can all learn from that. I'm looking forward to the next book Sarah releases-they never disappoint me! Thank you Sarah!

So many different personalities in one book ! I could relate to the different feelings each character had in certain situations. You will fall in love with Catherine Miller. Appreciate her honesty and integrity. A rare and precious jewel in today's world. Newbury Acres is more than just a place to live... it has a heart...loved this book and couldn't put it down. Sit down.. relax and read... then start to count your blessings

I really like the the Characters some good some not so good but it lets me know so much about the Amish they just want to live their faith in God with family but have the same human desires as we do But try to obey GOD even tho like us May fail at times but keep looking to Him for guidance He will give you the desires of our heart Catherine is a remarkable young lady who is tempted to fall in many situations
